1.1 Rated Voltage-VR
The rated voltage is defined as the maximum continuous DC voltage that a capacitor can withstand over the rated operating temperature range (Tmin to TR). It is related to the dielectric material and diaphragm thickness.
1.2 Maximum DC Voltage versus Temperature
The temperature range category for capacitors gives the upper and lower ambient temperature values (Tmin to Tmax) at which the capacitor can operate continuously and normally. Within this range, a rated temperature TR is defined at which the capacitor can operate continuously under VR conditions. This voltage value depends on the dielectric material of the capacitor.
