Standard System for Film Capacitors

The standard system for fixed capacitors for electronic equipment is composed of basic standards, general specifications, sub-specifications, and detailed specifications (i.e., enterprise standards).
The general specification specifies the standard terms, inspection procedures and test methods used in the sub-specification and detailed specification. The sub-specification is classified according to the dielectric and structure of the capacitor, and it specifies the preferred ratings and characteristics for that type of capacitor, and selects appropriate quality assessment procedures, test and measurement methods, and gives general performance requirements from the general specification.
